The Carpe Diem Individual Pilates Training Program offers services that range from Transitional Training from a rehabilitation situation to athletic enhancement. Carpe Diem follows the Philosophy and training styles found in the Polestar Pilates Education approach to Pilates. When we teach our clients Pilates, we are teaching from a perspective of "Why" are we doing a series of exercises or program design, instead of just "How" to do an exercise. Our process of teaching Pilates always begins with, and continues to emphasize the fundamentals of movement. We are looking at all the components of movement that are critical for an effective movement outcome. We are not just teaching a set series of exercises. We will assess at how your body moves, and through Pilates training, perpetuate more functional movement patterns that will transfer into all of your day-to-day activities. This may be a high level sport or just walking up a flight of stairs.

The benefits of Pilates training touch all aspects of our clients' lives. We see decrease in back and joint pain due to stronger core musculature and force distribution through the body, as well as better overall energy for daily activities. We see decrease in shoulder and neck pain because of better posture and muscle balance in the head, neck, shoulders and upper back. We even see better performances in golf, tennis and running because of the increases in flexibility and postural alignment. These are only a few samples of what we see everyday from clients that are involved in the Carpe Diem Individual Pilates Program.
